Woman hit by tree branch in Montgomery Co.

WASHINGTON — A woman has life-threatening injuries after being struck by a tree branch while walking through a wooded area in Montgomery County, officials said.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said the incident happened Saturday on the 7900 block of Tuckerman Lane in Cabin John. They said that high winds caused the branch to fall and hit the woman. She is listed as a priority 1 patient.

The D.C. area is under a wind advisory Saturday, and several power outages have been reported due winds.
