Ken Roczen sweeps 450 Class motos at RedBud

BUCHANAN, Mich. (AP) — Ken Roczen swept the 450 Class motos Saturday at RedBud for his fourth Lucas Oil Pro Motocross victory in the first six events of the season.

The German rider increased his series lead over Red Bull KTM teammate Ryan Dungey to 26 points.

“I really like the track. It’s gnarly and it makes it really difficult,” Roczen said. “I had my work cut out for me in the first moto, but I just never let up.”

Honda’s Eli Tomac was second overall, finishing fourth in the first moto and second in the second. Dungey was third in both motos to finish third overall.

Star Racing Yamaha’s Jeremy Martin won the 250 Class event for his third victory of the year, winning the first moto and finishing second in the second to increase his points lead to 23. Teammate Cooper Webb, second in the season standings, won the second moto after finishing 14th in the first.
