BALTIMORE (AP) — It’s a big July 4th for the birth place of America’s national anthem, and there’s plenty to do in and around Baltimore to celebrate.

History buffs can tour a replica of an armed schooner used to defeat the British during the War of 1812 at Fort McHenry, where Francis Scott Key penned a poem that would become the lyrics to the “Star Spangled Banner.” Those who prefer dogs in costumes to battle ships can head to the Visionary Art Museum for its annual pet parade and talent show, beginning at 10 a.m.

Before the fireworks at the Inner Harbor go off at 9:30 p.m., revelers can listen to live music at the Inner Harbor amphitheater, beginning at 4 p.m.
