Plane hits passenger bridge at airport; none hurt

CLEVELAND (AP) — A Frontier Airlines plane approaching the terminal at Cleveland’s main airport struck the bridge that passengers use to board and exit aircraft. No injuries have been reported.

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport says the accident occurred around 1 a.m. Thursday as the flight from Denver approached the terminal. Passengers on the A319 Airbus disembarked using a stairway at the back of the plane.

The spokeswoman says she doesn’t know how many people were on the flight. She says an A319 can carry 124 passengers.

She says the plane had slight damage. She didn’t know how much damage the jet bridge sustained.
