Smithsonian to host World Cup watch party in DC

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Smithsonian is hosting a viewing party for the final match of the World Cup.

The Smithsonian says fans are invited to watch Sunday’s game between Argentina and Germany in the courtyard of the building that houses the National Portrait Gallery and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

Fans will get to watch the game on a 21-foot video wall. The courtyard is enclosed and has air conditioning.

The building is in Washington’s Chinatown neighborhood near the Verizon Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
