Police ID victim in ‘suspicious’ Rockville death

WASHINGTON — Police on Tuesday identified the woman whose death in Rockville they are deeming “suspicious.”

Montgomery County police said on Monday evening, a passer-by found the body of 55-year-old Lori Denise Detwiler lying in a parking lot near the fence line to the rear of 12349 Parklawn Drive in Rockville, Maryland.

Police said there was no apparent trauma to the Detwiler’s body.

On Monday, police called on the community for information about the crime and help identifying the woman. Through fingerprint analysis, police were able to identify Detwiler, a Delaware resident.

Police are investigating the death and are still asking those with information to call them at 240-773-5070.
