Leesburg Pike in Fairfax Co. reopens after fatal crash

WASHINGTON — A section of Leesburg Pike in Fairfax County, Virginia, has reopened after a fatal crash involving a motorcycle had shut it down earlier Tuesday.

Police were dispatched to Leesburg Pike at Towlston Road at about 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The crash involved two cars and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene. Two people were also transported to the hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening.

Officers are on the scene directing traffic. The crash is still under investigation.

Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
