1 dead in fatal Frederick motorcycle wreck

NEW MARKET, Md. (AP) — A 22-year-old man is dead after a fatal motorcycle wreck in Frederick.

Frederick County authorities say the crash occurred at roughly 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The sheriff’s office says they received a 911 call for a collision on Boyers Mill Road. When officers arrived they found 22-year-old Codey Seiss, who had failed to negotiate a right curve in the road and struck a concrete culvert on the southbound shoulder.

Seiss died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.

Authorities say they believe Seiss was speeding at the time of the wreck, and that he may have failed to obey a traffic control device.
