For the second day in a row, officials overseeing the Joint Base Andrews Air Show in Landover, Maryland, this weekend were forced to turn away visitors after hitting max capacity.
In a release, officials detailed that only eventgoers who had already secured parking, were going through security screening, or were in line by 12:45 p.m. would be allowed entry.
“New vehicles will be turned away,” the release said, noting that the Northwest Stadium parking lot hit capacity at about 12 p.m.
A livestream of the event is being providing by the air show.
A similar announcement was made by organizers on Saturday, when shuttle wait times at the grounds hit a 2-hour mark. At that time, officials were only granting gate access to individuals who lived at Joint Base Andrews.
Sources previously told WTOP that officials encountered processing issues on Saturday that had prevented them from allowing visitors into the show.
The air show includes performances from the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, U.S. Army Golden Knights and the U.S. Navy Rhino Dream Team, among other military and civilian aerial demonstrations.
