You may have seen Joe Himali on your social media feed before.

The viral video creator has hundreds of thousands of followers across various platforms and has become known for his segment, “Best Address,” where he spotlights the architectural history of the D.C. region — one obscure building at a time.

The first thing you notice about Joe is his suit. He never takes it off — no matter the assignment. But the suit is part of his identity as a real estate agent, a field where he found success long before he started his digital journey.

In this episode of “Matt About Town,” WTOP’s Matt Kaufax takes an exclusive walking tour of Georgetown with Joe, and learns several interesting facts about the city that you can’t find in your history books.

To learn more about Joe and sign up for events he periodically hosts celebrating obscure history across the D.C. region, head to his website. And remember: “History shared is history saved!”

Hear “Matt About Town” first every Tuesday and Thursday on 103.5 FM!
