Police ID 2 shot and killed near Oxon Hill apartments

Two men are dead after a shooting near an Oxon Hill, Maryland, apartment complex on Sunday night, police say.

The two men were identified as 28-year-old Charles Oxley, of Oxon Hill, and 30-year-old Lamont Oxley, of D.C. Police said they were family members.

In a news release, Prince George’s County police said officers responded to the shooting in the 5500 block of Livingston Terrace at around 11:10 p.m. and found both men suffering gunshot wounds.

Charles Oxley was pronounced dead at the scene. Lamont Oxley was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later.

Earlier, police said one of the men was found inside a vehicle and the other was found in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

Police haven’t offered any further details about a suspect or suspects in the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 301-516-2512.
