Police ID driver killed in Oakton crash

Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, identified the person who was killed in a crash Sunday night.

Franklin Aquino, 18, of Chantilly, was traveling south near the 3200 block of Fox Mill Road in Oakton just after 10:30 p.m., when, upon cresting a hill, he lost control and went off the road, striking a tree.

He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police said a boy who was a passenger in the car is still in the hospital, with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

Preliminarily, police said speed was considered a factor in the crash.
