Man killed in Prince George’s Co. crash

A man is dead after being struck by a car Saturday night in Lanham.

Prince George’s County Police say a driver hit a pedestrian on Annapolis Road just ahead of the 495 entrance ramp around 10 p.m.

The pedestrian, a man, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car remained on the scene.

Officers did not share what may have caused the crash.


Police disrupt multiple ‘illegal gatherings’ of car rallies in DC area

Police in Maryland and Virginia are investigating multiple car rallies in the D.C. area with reports of crowds of up to 300 people taking part in the "illegal" gatherings. Maryland State Police say that officers started breaking up gatherings around 10 p.m. on Saturday through 4 a.m. Sunday.
