2 pedestrians with life-threatening injuries in Prince George’s Co. crash

Two pedestrians sustained life-threatening injures and another two people were hurt on Sunday during two separate collisions involving the same driver in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Police say that driver is in custody.

The driver hit a vehicle on the 11100 block of Montgomery Road in Beltsville around 6 p.m. Sunday. The driver and a juvenile passenger of the vehicle that was hit were taken to the hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

A few minutes after hitting that vehicle, county police say the same driver hit two pedestrians near the intersection of Montgomery Road and Cedar Lane.

EMS officials tell WTOP that two pedestrians were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.



Prince George’s County police say the collisions are still under investigation. The identities of the driver and the people who were injured aren’t known.
