News you can booze: Montgomery Co. alcohol stores resume normal hours

Booze stores in Montgomery County, Maryland, are back to normal hours after reducing them in January due to COVID-19-related staffing shortages.

Starting Monday, Alcohol Beverage Services stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.

There are 26 retail stores throughout Montgomery County.

Collision kills cyclist in North Bethesda

A cyclist died Wednesday afternoon after he was struck by a vehicle in North Bethesda, Maryland. It happened on Old Georgetown Road, near Cheshire Drive, around 4 p.m. According to Montgomery County Police, the bicyclist was traveling south on the northbound sidewalk on Old Georgetown Road. Meanwhile, a white 2012 Ford F-250 Cargo van was heading northbound on Old Georgetown Road, approaching Cheshire Drive.
