National Cathedral bell-ringing to pay tribute to 900K COVID-19 deaths

The Washington National Cathedral paid tribute to the more than 900,000 people who have died of COVID-19 in the U.S. Monday evening.

The cathedral said in a statement that it would toll its funeral bell 900 times, beginning at 5 p.m.



It took more than an hour to finish, the cathedral said.

The cathedral is at 3101 Wisconsin Ave. NW.

The bell-ringing was streamed live on the cathedral’s YouTube page.
