US Park Police officer injured in Northwest DC crash

A U.S. Park Police officer was injured in a two-car crash in Northwest D.C. early Monday.

The officer’s car was hit by another car on 14th Street NW, near Thomas Circle, just after 3:30 a.m. Monday.

The officer was treated on scene for knee injuries before being released.

The WTOP Traffic Center reported 14th Street reopened around 5:30 a.m. following a southbound closure in the vicinity of Thomas Circle.
