Redskins release CB Josh Norman

The Washington Redskins have released cornerback Josh Norman after four years with the team. The team made it official Friday afternoon, but Norman appeared to be acknowledging his release hours before:

Norman played four years in Washington after four years with the Carolina Panthers. Even though his old Carolina coach, Ron Rivera, has come to Washington, the fact that Norman didn’t play much down the stretch last season, combined with the fact that his contract called for him to make $12 million next season, evidently outweighed the familiarity. Norman intercepted seven passes with Washington. The team also released wide receiver Paul Richardson, defensive end Chris Odom and defensive back Kenny Ladler.

Running back Rachaad White leaves the Buccaneers to sign with the Commanders

White signed with the Washington Commanders on Friday, not long after Evans joined the San Francisco 49ers. He's reuniting with Daniels, the franchise quarterback who he became tight with when they were playing together at Arizona State in 2020 and '21.
