Croatia recently took over the presidency of the European Union. Croatia has its work cut out for it because the EU is facing a lot of challenges, not the least of which is the uncertainty looming because of the now-complete Brexit. Also there’s the big question of what Russia is doing in the region, something the U.S. constantly frets about.
