1 dead, 3 critically injured in Alexandria crash

A late night crash on Van Dorne Street in Alexandria, Virginia, on Nov. 3, 2019.

One person is dead and three are critically injured after a collision in Alexandria, Virginia, Saturday evening, according to police.

Alexandria police said two cars collided at the intersection of North Van Dorn Street and Kenmore Avenue around 8:19 p.m.

Armando Aguirre, 64, of Alexandria, died at the scene.

First responders found a total of four people in the vehicles, including Aguirre, according to NBC Washington. The victims were immediately taken to the hospital.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
