A man was shot multiple times in Southwest D.C. Wednesday night, according to police.

The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. on the 200 block of P Street, SW. When police arrived on the scene, they found the man on the sidewalk suffering from several gunshot wounds.

He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police are still looking for a suspect.
