An Old Town Alexandria home that dates to 1770 has hit the market for $2.295 million.

The 4,374-square-foot Federal-style brick home located at 116 Prince St. features five bedrooms, three full bathrooms (plus a half-bath) and — this being Old Town — three fireplaces.

The home was restored and renovated in 2014, but still features its original pine-plank floors. The property includes a club room, wine storage, media room, game room, a patio with hot tub, deck and terrace areas. The updated kitchen is by Italian designer Boffi, and the baths feature wares by Spanish manufacturer Porcelanosa.

The house is on Old Town’s famed Captain’s Row, a cobblestone stretch of Prince Street near the Potomac River and Union Street’s restaurants that’s popular for wedding and prom photos. The property does not have off-street parking, so you’ll have to regularly navigate those cobblestones for a spot near the front door.

Sonic Drive-In to open its first restaurant in Northern Virginia’s I-95 corridor

Fast-food chain Sonic Drive-In has filed plans to build a new restaurant in Prince William County, its first outpost along the Interstate 95 corridor in Northern Virginia. The 1,400-square-foot restaurant, with two drive-thru lanes, 12 pull-up ordering stalls and a dining patio, will be located at 4115 Talon Drive in Dumfries, part of the Barracks Row at Quantico commercial development less than a mile northwest of the I-95 interchange at state Route 234. The location “will constitute a flagship Sonic design that will serve as a benchmark for future restaurant drive-thru development,” according to a written narrative accompanying the application, filed by Noah Klein of Venable LLP.
