WASHINGTON — A Montgomery County man could get up to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography.

Federal prosecutors announced the indictment Friday against Frank A. Dunn Jr., 60.

Searches of Dunn’s residences in Burtonsville and Silver Spring yielded over 14,000 images and 285 videos of children engaged in sexual conduct, according to a plea agreement.

The images and videos included over 1,100 that involved minors identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as victims of child porn, prosecutors said. The files also depict the abuse of infants and toddlers, as well as sadomasochism and violence against children.

Dunn admitted in the plea agreement that he distributed child pornography from his Burtonsville residence using peer-to-peer file sharing software. From April to August of 2016, an undercover officer downloaded approximately 500 images and 15 videos that Dunn made available for sharing over the internet.

Dunn’s sentencing is set for Nov. 18. If the court accepts the agreement, Dunn would be sentenced to four to nine years. He must also register as a sex offender wherever he lives and works.
