Photos: Hiker suffering from heat exhaustion rescued from Billy Goat Trail in Md.

WASHINGTON — Montgomery County Fire and Rescue helped a hiker suffering from heat exhaustion on the Billy Goat Trail by evacuating on a boat via the Potomac River Sunday morning.

Officials did not disclose the victim’s identity, but did share that the hiker was a young adult.

The hiker was rescued from the rocks by swift water crews near Purple Horse Beach and Great Falls.
