Police investigate woman’s suspicious death inside Silver Spring home

WASHINGTON — Montgomery County, Maryland, police are investigating a woman’s suspicious death in her home.

Officers found the woman’s body Wednesday morning in the apartment, located in the 3600 block of Bel Pre Road in Silver Spring, while doing a welfare check.

The body had apparently suffered trauma, police said.

Authorities have taken the body to Maryland’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. Anyone with information regarding the death should contact Montgomery County police’s Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5700.
