Six Flags America has 2,000 jobs to fill (and some unique ones)

WASHINGTON — Six Flags America in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, is gearing up for its new season and said it has 2,000 seasonal jobs to fill this year.

The theme park is now conducting daily interviews for jobs that range from the park’s culinary, aquatics, rides and operations, security, guest relations, retail, games and park services.

And its entertainment department is also searching to fill performing and nonperforming roles.

On Saturday, Feb. 3, Six Flags America will hold an open casting call for costume characters, character escorts, ushers and technicians. And it also needs applicants with sewing experience for its costume shop.

On Sunday, Feb. 4, the park will hold an open call audition for singer and dancers.

Anyone interested in applying for any of the seasonal jobs is required to first apply online at SixFlagsJobs.

Six Flags America is owned by Six Flags Entertainment Corp, which owns a total of 20 parks across the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

Should you buy a house with cash?

High mortgage interest rates may have you exploring alternative ways of buying your home that don't require a loan. And while the competition for a new home may not be what it was in 2021, for the right home you may still need to work to get a leg up on the competition. If you have the means, an all-cash offer is a great way to fast-track a deal and avoid the additional costs that come with a mortgage. A seller is more likely to accept your offer, and the success of the deal isn't reliant on a lender's OK following an appraisal. You'll also own the home outright after the transaction with no mortgage to pay each month.
