Maryland State Police believe that the images were commercial photographs and were not of any Montgomery County Public School students. The charges stem from digital images shared and downloaded from the internet.

Melissa Brunson, Cloverly Elementary School’s principal, said in a letter to parents that Kelley was immediately put on administrative leave.

A team of psychologists and counselors will be available on Monday, Jan. 8 for students who need support, said Brunson.

Kelley awaits his preliminary hearing, scheduled for Friday, Feb. 2 at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Rockville.
