Dashcam video shows wild pursuit of I-95 shooting suspect

WASHINGTON — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia released dashcam video that shows the pursuit of Gregory Lee, who is suspected of killing his wife, along Interstate 95.

Lee led authorities on a on a high-speed chase along Interstate 95 on Dec. 27 before crashing his SUV.

Authorities said the 42-year-old fired several shots at a Virginia State Trooper and a sheriff’s deputy who were attempting to pull him over. Authorities said Lee then shot himself in the head before his SUV crashed into a guardrail and overturned on the highway, snarling traffic for several hours.

I-95 shooting suspect was no stranger to crime, violence

WASHINGTON — The Fredericksburg, Virginia, man suspected of killing his wife and then himself before a wild highway police chase on Thursday was no stranger to crime and violence, police say. Gregory Lee, 42, is suspected of fatally shooting his wife Melissa Lee, 36, with their children present in the home. He then shot at police, nearly striking a Virginia State Trooper, as he fled on Interstate 95 before fatally shooting himself and crashing in Stafford County.
