Police investigate homicide of man found on road near I-295

WASHINGTON — A man who was found suffering from gunshot wounds near D.C. 295 in Bladensburg, Maryland, has died.

Police are now investigating the incident as a homicide.

Prince George’s County police say that they discovered a man at Kenilworth Avenue and Eastern Avenue at around 6:20 p.m in the roadway. He was suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.

The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but police tweeted two hours later that the shooting investigation has become a homicide investigation.

They are also offering a reward for anyone who has any information about the case and can be reached at 1-866-411-TIPS. Anonymous tips are welcome.
