Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck car in Laurel

WASHINGTON — A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a Toyota RAV4 in Laurel, Maryland, Sunday evening. The crash happened around 9:15 p.m. on Contee Road at Laurel Bowie Road, Prince George’s County police say. When police arrived, they found the woman lying in the road unresponsive. The car involved in the accident remained at the scene. Contee Road was closed in both directions as a result of the collision.
