Air Canada launches BWI Marshall-to-Montreal flights

WASHINGTON — Air Canada will start its first nonstop flights from BWI Marshall Airport to Montreal this spring — the first service to Montreal from the region’s busiest airport.

The year-round daily service will start May 17, 2018, using 50-seat Bombardier CRJ aircraft.

Air Canada also operates nonstop flights from Reagan National Airport to Montreal and from Dulles to Montreal.

United Airlines is the only other carrier operating nonstop flights to Montreal from the D.C. region, with flights from both Reagan National and Dulles.

Air Canada did not announce any introductory fares for the new BWI to Montreal service.

BWI Marshall is the region’s busiest airport with a record 25.1 million passengers in 2016.

Last year was also the second straight year with more than 1 million international passengers traveling through the airport.
