Police: Woman found dead in alley in Montgomery Co.

WASHINGTON — A woman has been found dead in an alley behind a shopping center in the Wheaton, Maryland, area Friday afternoon, police said.

Around 3:30 p.m., Montgomery County police responded to the area of University Boulevard West and Elkin Street, around 2321 University Boulevard West.

“As the evening goes on, hopefully we’ll be able to identify her and attempt to locate family,” Capt. Paul Starks with Montgomery County police said.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will be conducting an autopsy.
