Hungry diners descend as Bob & Edith’s Diner opens Huntington location

HUNTINGTON, Va. — Bob & Edith’s Diner recently opened its second 24-hour location in Fairfax County and its fourth in Northern Virginia.

The diner — with its 12 booths, nine tables and 10 counter stools — seats about 84 people in the Huntington Station location at 5918 North Kings Highway.

Within that strip center, Bob & Edith’s takes the spot that used to be home to an auto parts store.

The diner sports a traditional 1950s look with blue and white tile and blue tables with blue and white chairs.

Bob & Edith’s opened its newest location within walking distance of the Huntington Metro on Tuesday, Aug. 1 and has been in the making since last fall.

Unlike the other Bob & Edth’s locations in Springfield and Arlington, the music isn’t blaring when you walk in, but the menu is the same.

There’s no question people are interested in the place. Over the weekend, crowds packed the diner and lines extended out the door.
