1 dead after morning crash in Montgomery County

WASHINGTON — Montgomery County police are investigating a deadly Sunday morning crash in the Olney, Maryland, area that killed one woman and injured three others.

Authorities say that officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the report of a two-vehicle collision around 10:30 a.m. on Bowie Mill Road at Fraley Farm Road.

A preliminary investigation by police showed that a 2012 Honda Accord headed westbound on Bowie Mill Road and a 2015 Ford Mustang headed eastbound collided.

The driver of the Accord, Xiaolin Fu, a 51-year-old man from Circle Gate Drive in Germantown, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Accord’s two female passengers, Wenshuo Zhu, 45, also of Circle Gate Drive, and a 13-year-old girl were also taken to area hospitals.

Zhu later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the Mustang, William Eduardo Gonzalez, 21, of Wickham Road in Olney, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
