3 hospitalized after Burke fire

WASHINGTON — Fairfax County fire investigators are trying determine the cause of a house fire in Burke, Virginia, that sent three people to area hospitals. Two people were taken to a burn center and one to another hospital, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Deputy Chief Brad Cochrane. The fire occurred in the 10700 block of Spring Oak Court in Burke at a two-story townhouse. It took firefighters 3 1/2 minutes to get to the scene, where they quickly contained the blaze.

A Virginia pet expo running through Sunday is hoping to help those who recently got new pets to find what they need. Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
