Police: Puppy stolen from Howard Co. animal shelter

WASHINGTON — Police are searching for a 4-month-old rescue dog that was taken from a Howard County animal shelter over the weekend.

Overnight Saturday into Sunday, someone entered Small Miracles Cat & Dog Rescue, located at 10236 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City, and took Becca, a 4-month-old 16-pound, female husky mix with blue eyes.

Police say there was no sign of forced entry and nothing else was taken. Police are investigating the cause as a burglary.

Police are asking anyone who sees Becca or has information about the case to contact them at 410-313-3200.
