WASHINGTON — Homicide detectives have made two arrests in a December case of a murdered District 7-week-old girl, D.C. police said Sunday.

On May 5, the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Trischelle Jabore, 26, and Jay Crowder, 33, both of southwest D.C.

They’ve been charged with first degree murder, felony murder.

On Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive infant at Galveston Place, southwest around noon.

Police located the female infant, Trinity Jabore, at the scene.

D.C. Fire and EMS members transported the baby girl to an area hospital.

She was pronounced dead shortly after.

An autopsy revealed that Trinity died from malnutrition and hyponatremia — a condition where sodium levels in the blood are too low. A secondary cause of death was determined to be trunk trauma.

The death was ruled a homicide.
