Police identify motorcyclist who died in Chevy Chase crash

WASHINGTON — Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died after colliding with an SUV at a Chevy Chase, Maryland, intersection Tuesday morning.

Montgomery County police said 24-year-old Dean Michael Rusciolelli, of Arlington, Virginia, died at at a hospital after the crash.

Police said Rusciolelli was traveling northbound on Connecticut Avenue approaching Thornapple Street at the time his 2008 Triumph Bonneville motorcycle collided with a 2004 GMC Yukon that was making left turn from the southbound lane of Connecticut Avenue on Thornapple.

Police identified the driver of the Yukon as 50-year-old Consuelo Y. Garcia-Trujillo of Hyattsville, Maryland. Garcia-Trujillo was not injured in the crash, according to police.

The crash shut down northbound Connecticut Avenue at Thornapple Street in Chevy Chase for several hours Tuesday morning.

Police are still investigating what led to the collision. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
