Fairfax Co. man charged with sexually abusing 12-year-old in day care

WASHINGTON — A Herndon, Virginia, man is charged with sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl who attended a day care in his home.

The Fairfax County police said in a statement that they arrested Oscar Perez Rangel, 40, on Friday at his home, on Kidwell Field Road in Herndon. They said that a 12-year-old girl told someone at her school that she had been abused several times between October and December of last year.

Police said the suspect wasn’t the operator of the day care, but lived in the house. He has been charged with five felony offenses, including aggravated sexual battery. He is being held without bond.
