Vienna house fire under investigation

WASHINGTON — The cause of a Vienna, Virginia, house fire is under investigation. An elderly couple had to be taken to a local burn center with non-life-threatening injuries after their home on the 9800 block of Bridleridge Court caught on fire. The woman who lived in the home was treated for smoke inhalation. Fairfax County Fire Battalion Chief Willie Bailey said firefighters responded around 5:30 a.m. and quickly extinguished the blaze. One firefighter suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

A Virginia pet expo running through Sunday is hoping to help those who recently got new pets to find what they need. Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
