3 Montgomery Co. pharmacies hit by 1 suspect’s robbery attempts

WASHINGTON — Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing two pharmacies and attempting to rob another in Montgomery County, Maryland, early Thursday.

A CVS on Arlington Road in Bethesda was robbed just before 3 a.m. The suspect showed a gun and took off with an undisclosed amount of money. According to Montgomery County police, the suspect had also assaulted a store employee.

At around 5:20 a.m., the suspect attempted to rob a  Rite Aid on East West Highway in Silver Spring, but ran off without taking anything.

About 15 minutes later at a CVS on Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda, the suspect showed a gun again and took off with more money.
