WASHINGTON — Passengers on MARC’s Camden Line faced delays Wednesday morning after all trains between Baltimore and D.C. were suspended after a man was struck and killed by a freight train. MARC restored limited service on trains 844, 846 and 851 around 10 a.m., though they were running 15 to 30 minutes behind schedule. Maryland Transit Authority officials said a CSX freight train struck and killed a pedestrian near Riverdale. Prince George’s County police said they responded to a report of man struck by a train at about 7 a.m. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Detectives do not suspect foul play, according to their preliminary investigation, police said. Officials urged passengers to use Metro or equivalent Penn Line stations, adding that Camden Line tickets will be honored on either train.
