DC Police: Man dead after car chase, multi-vehicle crash

WASHINGTON — A man has died after a crash involving three vehicles and a stolen car that was chased by D.C. police earlier Friday evening, officials said. Police said an officer spotted a vehicle that had been carjacked earlier in the week and started to pursue it. The officer lost track of the car, but D.C. police later came upon the stolen car in a multi-vehicle crash in the 4200 block of East Capitol Street at Benning Road, NBC Washington reported.

A man who had been in one of the three other vehicles was taken to the hospital, where he died, officials said. NBC Washington reported that a male juvenile is in custody.
