Report: Biden to stay in DC following Inauguration

WASHINGTON — The Obamas won’t be the only family staying in the District after the Inauguration; the Bidens are sticking around, too.

Joe Biden told the Los Angeles Times he will continue to live in D.C., at least part time, after vacating the vice president’s residence on Jan. 20.

Though it’s historically unusual to have both the former president and the former vice president living in D.C. after the new president is sworn in, Biden says his decision to remain in the District is “largely driven by family,” similar to the Obamas choosing to stay in D.C. until Sasha gradates from high school.

Biden told the Times that his wife will continue to teach at Northern Virginia Community College, where she has been an English professor since 2009.
