Attack involves at least 10 near U Street Metro

WASHINGTON — D.C. Police are investigating a frightening attack involving at least 10 people near the U Street Metro station Tuesday night.

The victim was exiting the train station at 13th and U streets when approximately 10 masked teen suspects started using foul language towards him, according to a D.C. police report.

The man continued to walk and then began to run when the suspects started following him, the report said. The suspects, wearing all dark clothing, took the victim’s money, cell phone and white sneakers, the report said.

The attack occurred shortly before 7 p.m.
