Va. martial arts instructor accused of ‘indecent liberties’ with 13-year-old girl

WASHINGTON — A martial arts teacher in Falls Church is facing multiple charges after police say he sexually violated a young student.

The 13 year-old girl was enrolled at the martial arts school and summer camp for about a month starting June 21, said Don Gotthard with Fairfax County Police.

In August, the girls’ parents called detectives alleging 27-year-old instructor Randon Millir had inappropriate contact with their daughter, Gotthard said.

The parents said Millir was still contacting the girl by cellphone, Gotthard said.

“Eventually we were able to develop enough information to obtain warrants for Randon Millir of Fairfax and to charge him with taking indecent liberties with a minor and carnal knowledge of a minor,” Gotthard said.

Fairfax County court records show Millir had no prior convictions before working at the studio in the Barcroft Shopping Center on Columbia Pike.

Millir was immediately let go from the studio and turned himself in, police said.
