WASHINGTON (AP) — D.C. police have arrested three men in the 2007 carjacking and fatal shooting of a short-order cook.

The department said in a news release that re-interviewing witnesses and linking DNA evidence led to the arrests in the slaying of 25-year-old Timothy Spicer outside the Anacostia Metro station on Nov. 17, 2007.

Detectives say four or five men had conspired to rob Spicer, who was fatally shot during a fight over his car.

Police say 25-year-old Randolph Williams was arrested Monday, and 25-year-old Kadeem Quarles and 25-year-old Maurice Blakey were arrested Tuesday. All three are charged with first-degree murder.
