Pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle on New York Ave. in DC

WASHINGTON — A man died after he was struck by a vehicle traveling along New York Avenue at 4th Street Northeast in D.C. early Wednesday morning.

D.C. police say they received a call about the crash around 12:15 a.m. The victim died on the scene.

Police closed New York Avenue between Florida Avenue and 9th Street Northeast until about 4:45 a.m.
