Motorcyclist dies after Chantilly crash

WASHINGTON — A motorcyclist died after an accident on southbound Va. 28 before U.S. 50 Friday morning. Fairfax County police tell WTOP the motorcyclist died following the 6 a.m. Friday collision. The crash investigation closed Va. 28 for 4 1/2 hours. Two lanes reopened just around 9:30 a.m. and all lanes an hour later. Roads in Dulles, Chantilly and Centreville were more crowded as drivers took alternative routes to Va. 28.

Fairfax County police say more information about the crash will be released Friday.

Super Pet Expo offers its first in-person event in Virginia since pandemic began

A Virginia pet expo running through Sunday is hoping to help those who recently got new pets to find what they need. Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
