Pedestrian killed after running into traffic in DC

WASHINGTON (AP) — Police say a man was hit and killed by a vehicle after he ran into traffic on Georgia Avenue in northwest Washington.

District of Columbia police say 23-year-old Jonathan Ramos-Ayala of Washington was hit shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police say they are continuing to investigate the collision.
